Libraries are opening for up to 150 visitors at a time, depending on building capacity. Social distancing requirement still apply.

Contact Tracing
Entry will be by library card and we ask that you make your visit as short as possible. There will be a limited number of PCs available and you can now book from home.  Conditions of Entry are based on the current Victorian Government regulations, see the complete list.

Opening Hours
Some library hours have changed – check here to view the current hours
The libraries are no longer closed for lunch (except Montrose and Realm).
Libraries will be open on Sunday from December 6.

Beat the queue: Click+Collect is still available at all branches.
Home Delivery service is still available for vulnerable members of the community.

Home Library Service

The Eastern Regional Libraries Home Library Service delivers library material to people who are unable to visit the library. The service is provided from certain branches and relies on the support of the local community.


Who is eligible?

Housebound individuals and residents of care facilities located in Knox, Maroondah or Yarra Ranges Council.

Volunteer positions are available to delivery library materials monthly, to home library service clients. Volunteers require a current:

  • Victorian Driver’s Licence
  • Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
